Leaving Birmingham, AL on the 3rd day of my (late-in-the-year) motorcycle, I headed south to until I ran out of land in Mississippi and then continued west to the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway ending up in New Orleans, LA for the day/night. The following day I left New Orleans and headed toward Natchez, MS where I picked up the Natchez Trace Parkway riding it up to Tupelo, MS for the night.

It didn’t look like I was going to get a “bigger” motorcycle trip in this year but with some warmer than usual temps in late November, I made the most of it and left West Virginia on November 17, 2023 on my KTM 1290 Super Adventure. Andrew, Dave, Brian and I competed in the longest point to point off-road race in the United States, Vegas to Reno 2023. We raced a 2018 KTM 500 EXC over 500 miles through the Nevada Desert. Competing in the Motorcycle Open Amateur Class we finished in 3rd place (out of 10 teams). We finished 106 in the overall. 233 teams started the race and only 163 finished. In late September 2022, we held the first ever 2WR ADV Camp and Ride. Over the weekend we camped out on a 600+ acre private property in WV (complete with riding trails) and then took the group out on 2 days over adventure riding.
